History
Our story starts way back in the 1960’s, when the association was formed by students at Carleton University. In 1979, it was federally incorporated as the Jamaican (Ottawa) Community Association Inc.
The Jamaican (Ottawa) Community Association Inc. We are at the heart of the community, offering diverse and relevant activities activities for all. It is a place where neighbours meet, learn and volunteer.
The association provides physical intellectual, social and cultural services and programs that contribute to individual and community health and development.
